Do I require a ticket?
Yes, the Essex County Christmas Fair is a ticketed event and tickets can be booked online in advance for a discount price. The advance ticket discount price ends at 23.59 on 13/11/2025 for Friday tickets, 23:59 on 14/11/2025 for Saturday tickets & 23:59 on 15/11/2025 for Sunday tickets. After these times tickets can still be purchased, subject to availability, but at a higher rate.
Can I pay on the gate?
Whilst we hope to have some tickets available for sale on the gate we strongly recommend booking in advance to guarantee admission and take advantage of the discounted rates & fast-track entry.
Due to the popularity of our events, we sometimes have to close ticket sales early, once we have reached capacity limitations, leaving none available on the gate.
If you plan to wait and see if we have tickets available for sale on the gate, please check our website prior to travelling to the event to avoid a wasted journey.
What is a Twilight ticket?
Twilight tickets are reduced price entry tickets for people wishing to arrive during the last 3 hours of each day. These tickets offer a budget friendly way to enjoy everything the fair has offer, and also see the venue lit with festive lighting.
Is there a booking fee?
Yes, in order to cover payment and ticket processing fees a small booking fee of £1.20 is added per order.
Can I go inside Braxted Park House?
Is there car parking at the venue?
Yes, we have two large capacity event carparks that will be tracked with roadway matting. Parking is FREE for all visitors.
Please note that parking is on grass which naturally can be uneven underfoot and the event entrance could be up to 300m from your parking spot.
Please take care when navigating the carpark and wear appropriate footwear.
Although we install a network of floodlights to illuminate the carpark, some areas may be dimly lit. Bringing a torch is recommended if you are arriving or leaving the Fair after dark.
Is there disabled parking at the venue?
Yes, we have a dedicated Disabled carpark close to the event entrance.
Please display your Blue Badge and inform stewards who will direct you to the disabled parking area.
Is the event wheelchair friendly?
We want everyone that attends our events to have a positive experience and try to make them as accessible as feasibly possible.
However, the existing main pathways that run throughout the grounds are all gravel, which can be problematic for some wheelchair users, especially those with a smaller wheel width. If you usually find gravel difficult, we would regrettably not recommend you attending the event for your own comfort. Due to the nature of the venue there are also some areas with uneven ground.
Do you offer a discount for carers?
Yes, carers can gain free entry to the Essex County Christmas Fair when accompanying the ticket holder that they care for.
Carers are required to book a carer ticket and may be asked to show eligibility at the gate.
Are dogs permitted at the event?
Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted at this venue. This is to protect the abundant local wildlife populations that reside on the estate.
Will food & drink be available?
Yes, a wide variety of quality food and drink options will be available to enjoy on site. Get in the Christmas spirit with festive tipples, warming hot drinks, German sausages, roasted chestnuts and delicious, sweet treats plus a selection of high quality food stalls.
Festive Afternoon Tea can also be enjoyed in the Braxted Park Orangery.
Will Father Christmas be attending?
Father Christmas will be making appearances at regular intervals on all three days of the Essex County Christmas Fair.
He will be walking around the event, talking to visitors and posing for photo opportunities. If you need help finding him during your visit, please ask a steward, who will be able to help locate him.
There is no Santa’s Grotto, or individual family visits to Santa at this event.
